Welcome to our English class! Today, we are going to learn about the four seasons.
Let's start with a fun activity. I need everyone to stand up and follow my lead. When I say "Summer," I want you to jump up and down like you are playing in the sun. When I say "Fall," I want you to pretend you are catching falling leaves with your hands. When I say "Winter," I want you to shiver and rub your hands together. Finally, when I say "Spring," I want you to hold your arms out like you are welcoming new life. Let's try it out!
Now that we're all warmed up, let's read a story about the four seasons. This book is called "The Seasons: A Book of Poems" by Charlotte Zolotow. As I read, I want you to pay attention to the different things that happen in each season.
After we finish the story, we are going to have a discussion. I want you to help me remember what happens in each season. What are some things we can do in the summer? What happens to the leaves in the fall? What's the weather like in the winter? What grows in the spring?
Great job, everyone! Now you know all about the four seasons. Remember to keep practicing and having fun learning English. See you next time!
