Lesson Overview
In this 30-minute lesson, students will learn the basics of using Microsoft Excel. They will be introduced to the Excel interface, how to input data, and how to use basic formulas and functions. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to create a simple spreadsheet and understand how to make calculations using Excel.

Creating a Simple Spreadsheet (5 minutes)
- Give students a task (e.g. creating a budget) to create a simple spreadsheet using the skills they have learned
- Allow students to work independently or in pairs to complete the task
Conclusion (5 minutes)
- Review what students have learned in the lesson
- Assign homework (see below)
