Procedure
- Introduction (5 minutes)
- Ask students if they know what measurement is and its purposes
- Introduce standard units of measurement and their importance in everyday life
- Explain the difference between standard and non-standard units
- Types of standard units (10 minutes)
- Present the three standard units of measurement: length, weight, and capacity
- Discuss the objects measured using each unit
- Demonstrate measuring length using a ruler, weight using a balance scale, and capacity with measuring cups and spoons
- Converting standard units (10 minutes)
- Explain the process of converting one unit to another
- Demonstrate the steps in converting meters to centimeters, grams to kilograms, and liters to milliliters
- Provide examples for each conversion
- Solving problems using standard units (5 minutes)
- Present word problems that require the use of standard units of measurement
- Work through the problems with the students
- Encourage students to ask questions and provide reasoning for their solutions
- Conclusion/Wrap-Up (5 minutes)
- Summarize the key points of the lesson

Homework
- Distribute worksheets to students to assess their knowledge on standard units of measurement.
