Today, we're going to embark on an exciting adventure in the world of stories! We will learn how to describe characters and understand how their actions help to shape the story. Are you ready to become a character detective?
To kick off our lesson, I have a mysterious box in the front of the classroom. Behind this box, there’s a story waiting to be uncovered! But, before we can open the box, we need to solve a few puzzles related to characters from different stories.
I’ll give you a clue card that describes a character from a popular book (like Harry Potter, The Cat in the Hat, or Cinderella). The clues might include:
In pairs, you will have the chance to discuss the clues and guess which character is being described. Once you think you know the answer, we can all share what we think before I reveal the mystery character.
After we've guessed the characters, we will finally open the mysterious box! Inside, you'll find items or pictures related to a story that we will read together. These will help us dive deeper into understanding our characters and see how their actions move the story along.
By working together to solve these character puzzles, we’ll enhance our storytelling skills and prepare for a fun exploration of how stories come to life through the actions of their characters! Now, let's get started on our Character Exploration Adventure! 📚✨
