Good morning, young musicians! Today, we’re going to embark on an exciting adventure into the magical world of music. Are you ready? Let’s start our journey by imagining something special!
Activity:
Close your eyes for a moment. Imagine you're stepping into a colorful spaceship that’s going to take you to the “Land of Musical Notes.” What does your spaceship look like? What colors can you see? What sounds do you hear?
Take a few seconds to think about this...
Now, open your eyes! As we land in the Land of Musical Notes, we see a big door with shiny musical notes on it. Each note has its own personality and story!
Let’s learn to open the door together!
Here’s a fun way to remember the notes!
We will create funny characters for each musical note.
Quarter Note (♪): Let’s call him "Quickie." Quickie loves to run and always says, “I’m here, and I’m ready to play!”
Half Note (𝅗𝅥): Meet "Halfy." Halfy likes to take things slow and says, “Hold on! I need two beats to get where I’m going!”
Whole Note (𝅗): This is "Wholley." Wholley loves to relax and enjoys a long, lovely rest. “I take four beats to enjoy the moment,” he says.
Now, it’s your turn! With the help of your friends, let’s create a short musical story using Quickie, Halfy, and Wholley. Each of you will take turns deciding what the notes will do in our story.
For example:
As we prepare to dive deeper into our lesson, remember that these notes are like our friends. They help us create the wonderful music that fills our lives with joy!
Now, let’s get started with some fun activities and games that will help us learn how to read and write these musical notes! Are you ready? Let’s make some music magic together! ✨🎼
