A Fun Introduction to Our Lesson on the Mayor

🎉 Welcome, Little Explorers! 🌍

Hello, everyone! Today, we are going to embark on an exciting adventure into the world of History! Are you ready to learn about someone very important in our community?

✨ Meet the Mayor!

To kick off our lesson, let’s play a game called "Mayor Says!" Just like Simon Says, but instead, we are going to follow the directions of the Mayor!

How to Play:

  1. Stand Up: Everyone stand up and get ready to follow the directions!
  2. Mayor Movements: I will say things that a mayor might do. If I say, "Mayor says, wave to the people!" you wave your hands! If I just say, "Can you wave?" then you don’t wave!
  3. Examples: I might say:
    • "Mayor says, clap your hands for our community!"
    • "Mayor says, give a big smile to everyone around!"
    • "Can you hop like a bunny?" (don’t hop on this one, remember, only if I say "Mayor says!")

🎨 Let's Get Creative!

After the game, we’ll sit down on our cozy carpet and talk about what we learned about the mayor and why they are important to our city. We'll even make our own Mayor Hats out of paper to wear during our lesson!
