Hello, little explorers! Today, we are going on a mathematical journey filled with fun and furry friends! Are you ready to count and play with some adorable animals?
Let's gather around and listen to a magical story about a fun parade of animals!
Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, all the animals decided to have a parade. The clever monkey, the lazy lion, the joyful rabbit, and the wise owl all wanted to join in.
As they marched, the monkey noticed something exciting – they had to count how many animals were in the parade! But oh no! The monkey was too busy swinging from trees to keep track!
To help our monkey friend, let's sing a counting song together!
🎵 "One, Two, Three, Four, Five" 🎵
(Sing along to the tune of "Ten Green Bottles")
(Use your fingers to count along)
One little monkey swinging in the tree,
Counting all the animals (1, 2, 3),
Two little rabbits hopping here and there,
Join the parade, in the open air!
Now that we’ve warmed up with our story and song, let’s use our counting skills!
We will create a colorful chart together. Here’s how:
Once the chart is ready, ask the children:
Great job, explorers! You've helped the monkey count all the animals in the parade!
To celebrate our counting success:
Let’s do some coloring! Hand out animal coloring sheets where they can color each animal and practice counting again.
Remember, math is everywhere around us, and with counting, we can find magic in every adventure!
And don’t forget to come back next time for more fun mini-adventures in math! What animal do you think we’ll count next? 🐒🐰
Happy counting! Let’s explore the animal kingdom together!
