Kickoff Activity: The Gem Map

Now, here’s the fun part! Look at the Gem Map below, which shows where Dino’s treasures are hidden.

• 💎 Gem 2 is behind 2,
• 💎 Gem 3 is kept at the cave of 3,
• And so on!

Let’s become treasure hunters! We will solve fun math puzzles that will help us get to each gem.

Treasure Hunt Plan

Activities:

1. Number Identification: Each student will pick a number and find objects in the classroom that match that number.
2. Counting Rhyme: We’ll sing a fun counting rhyme to help us remember our numbers as we hop from one gem to the next.
3. Gem Collection: Once we solve a puzzle correctly, we’ll collect a gem sticker for our own treasure bags!
