Introduction (5 minutes)
Greet the students and get their attention by showing them a picture of an animal.
Ask them to name the animal.
Introduce the topic of animals and tell them that they will be learning about different types of animals today.
Vocabulary (5 minutes)
Show pictures of different animals and ask the students to name them.
Write the names of the animals on the whiteboard.
Go over the names of each of the animals and have the students repeat after you.
Animal Features (5 minutes)
Ask the students to identify the different features of the animals they see in the pictures.
Write the features on the whiteboard and briefly discuss each feature.
Adjectives (5 minutes)
Review what adjectives are and how they describe things.
Show students pictures of different animals and have them use adjectives to describe them.
Write their answers on the board and discuss why they chose those words.
Simple Questions (5 minutes)
Practice asking and answering simple questions related to animals.
For example, "What is this animal?", "What color is it?", "Where does it live?" etc.
Use pictures to help students understand the questions.
Activity (5 minutes)
Hand out worksheets to the students.
Students will be asked to draw their favorite animal and label its features including the name of animal and the type of creature it is.
After they finish drawing , they will be given colored pencils to color them.
Conclusion (5 minutes)
Summarize what the students have learned about animals.
Answer any final questions students may have.
Assign the worksheet as homework and remind students to bring it back the next day.
