Procedure:
Introduction (5 minutes)
Greet the students and introduce the topic of the lesson — creative writing journal.
Ask the students if they’ve ever kept a journal before. If so, encourage them to share their experiences.
Definition of Creative Writing Journal (10 minutes)
Discuss the meaning of creative writing journals. Explain that it is a personal record of thoughts, ideas, and emotions that helps writers develop their writing skills.
Distribute handouts that contain sample journal entries.
Tips for Writing Creatively (15 minutes)
Discuss different techniques for writing creatively:
Freewriting
Mind mapping
Imagery
Character/setting development
Encourage the students to ask questions and share their own ideas.
Writing Activity (10 minutes)
Provide writing prompts for the students. Examples:
Write about a time when you were really happy.
Describe your dream house.
Write about a person who has influenced you.
Give the students 5-7 minutes to write.
Sharing and Feedback (5 minutes)
Ask the students to share their writing with the class.
Provide feedback and praise their efforts.
