- Provide graphic organizers for visual learners to help them identify the elements of the story
- Pair up advanced writers with struggling writers to work on identifying the elements of the story together
Day 3
Do Now (5 minutes)
Write a sentence using a word from the vocabulary list provided.

- Introduce the vocabulary words for the week
- Use the words in context in a short story
- Discuss the importance of expanding vocabulary in reading and writing
