Setting the Scene

Imagine this: It’s a chilly morning, and the sun has just begun to rise above the horizon. You hear the distant sound of a river flowing and the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze. The air is fresh, and the world around you is untouched and wild. This is the time before written language, before cities, and even before farms!

What to Expect

To kick off our journey, I want you to close your eyes for a moment. Picture yourself as a young hunter-gatherer. What do you see?

• Where are you? Are you in a cave or by a river?
• What are you doing? Are you gathering berries, hunting for food, or making tools?
• How do you feel? Excited? Curious? Maybe a little scared?

After a minute, we will open our eyes and share our imaginative experiences! This helps us connect with the people of the Stone Age and understand their daily lives.

The Adventure Begins

Following our imaginative exercise, we will learn about the different periods of the Stone Age—Old Stone Age (Paleolithic), the Middle Stone Age (Mesolithic), and the New Stone Age (Neolithic). We’ll discover how early humans lived, what they ate, and the amazing tools they created.
