Today, we’re going to dive into the exciting world of data management! But before we jump in, let’s spark our curiosity with a fun activity!
Gather Round: Have all the students gather around the mystery box, creating an atmosphere of excitement and intrigue.
The Big Reveal: Without letting the students peek inside, tell them that the box contains a mystery collection of items.
Guess & Count: Ask each student to make a guess about how many items are inside. They could jot down their guesses on a piece of paper.
Partner Up: Once everyone has made a guess, pair the students and allow them to take turns peeking inside the box (but only one peek per partner!). They won't be able to see everything, but they can count the number of items they can see.
Write it Down: After counting, let each pair create a small chart, drawing what they saw and writing down how many items they counted.
