Procedure
Introduction (5 minutes)
- The teacher will greet the students and introduce the topic of colors in French.
- The teacher will show flashcards with pictures of objects in various colors and ask students to identify the colors.
- The teacher will introduce the new vocabulary words for the lesson (colors in French).
Presentation (10 minutes)
- The teacher will divide the class into small groups.
- Each group will be given a picture of an object and they will be asked to describe it using the colors they have learned.
- The teacher will write the sentences on the board.
Practice (10 minutes)
- The teacher will distribute handouts with pictures of objects.
- Students will be asked to write a sentence about each object using a color word in French.
Production (5 minutes)
- Students will be asked to come up with a short conversation between two people describing colors of an object.
Conclusion (5 minutes)
- The teacher will review the new vocabulary words with students.
- Students will be asked to share their sentences and sentences produced by their partner.
Assessment
The teacher will assess the student’s performance through their participation in group work, writing activities, and class discussion.
