Welcome to our science class! Today, we are going to learn about energy and how it influences our daily lives. Energy is everywhere around us and it comes in many forms - heat, light, sound, electricity, and more. We will explore these forms of energy, their sources, and how they can be converted and used.
To get started, we will do a fun activity that will help us understand energy and its properties. You will need a few items:
Take the toy car and place it at the start of the ruler, facing towards the end. Prop up the ruler at one end using the books or blocks, so that the other end is elevated.
Now, give the car a gentle nudge and watch what happens. What do you think will happen if you increase the height of the elevated end of the ruler? What if you change the angle of the ruler?
Discuss your predictions with your classmates and then test them out. Record your observations and note any patterns or trends.
At the end of this lesson, you will be able to:
Let's get started with our lesson on energy!
