  1. Start the lesson by discussing the concept of sound and how it can be created.
  2. Introduce the activity by showing students an example of a water bottle musical instrument and demonstrating how it works.
  3. Give each student an empty water bottle and ask them to fill it about a quarter of the way with rice or beans.
  4. Instruct the students to decorate their water bottles using the craft supplies provided.
  5. Once the water bottles are decorated, help the students cut out a long strip of paper or ribbon.
  6. Ask the students to wrap the strip around the bottle and attach it with adhesive materials to create a handle for the instrument.
  7. Demonstrate how to play the instrument by tapping the rice-filled water bottle with a spoon or pencil.
  8. Give the students time to experiment with their instruments and explore different sounds they can create.
  9. Encourage the students to share their instruments and perform a group music piece together.
