Buenos días, amigos y amigas! Today we are going to talk about one of my favorite things to do - viajar (to travel)! Who here likes to go on trips?
Before we start talking about traveling, let's learn some new words that we'll need to know.
Now that we know some new words, let's practice having a conversation about traveling.
Teacher: ¿Quieres ir en un viaje? (Do you want to go on a trip?) Student: Sí, ¡quiero ir en un viaje! (Yes, I want to go on a trip!) Teacher: ¿Dónde quieres ir? (Where do you want to go?) Student: Quiero ir a la playa. (I want to go to the beach.) Teacher: ¡Genial! ¿Cómo quieres llegar? ¿Quieres ir en avión, coche, tren o barco? (Great! How do you want to get there? Do you want to go by airplane, car, train, or boat?) Student: Quiero ir en avión. (I want to go by airplane.) Teacher: OK, y cuando lleguemos, ¿dónde podemos quedarnos? (OK, and when we get there, where can we stay?) Student: En un hotel. (In a hotel.) Teacher: ¡Fantástico! ¿Y qué más quieres hacer durante tu viaje? ¿Quieres ir a las montañas o a un parque de atracciones? (Fantastic! And what else do you want to do during your trip? Do you want to go to the mountains or an amusement park?) Student: Quiero ir al parque de atracciones. (I want to go to the amusement park.)
