Teacher will display examples of Impressionist paintings by famous artists such as Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Edouard Manet. Teacher will briefly explain the origins of the Impressionist movement in art history and its significance.
Students are divided into teams and given a selected color palette. Students are tasked to create an Impressionist painting using their creativity and knowledge of Impressionism. Students will work together in their teams to come up with a unique painting.
Teacher will encourage a physical activity to loosen up the students and allow them to refocus. A quick stretching or breathing exercise will be given.
