🌼 Hey there, Young Scientists! 🌼
Welcome to our exciting science lesson today! We’re going to embark on a fantastic adventure in the garden. Do you know what is lurking in our flowers and plants? Insects! That's right! Some insects are helpful, but today we will learn about some of the destructive insects and how they move. Are you ready to discover the buzzing world of these little creatures?
Gather the Class: Sit together in a circle and introduce the cutouts of the insects. Show them pictures if available and talk about what these insects do to plants.
Assign Insects: Give each child an insect cutout and a corresponding movement card.
Obstacle Course Time: Set up an obstacle course in the classroom. Each child needs to move through the course using the movements described on their card.
Discuss the Movement: After the relay race, come back together as a group. Ask the children questions like:
After our fun movement relay, we will sit back down and share our thoughts. Let’s talk about:
Remember, every insect has a special role in nature. Learning about them is just the beginning of our journey in science!
Ask your parents if you can look around your home or garden for any insects. Try to observe how they move! Bring in your findings to share with the class next time.
