Goal
To help students at Reception level learn the basics of English phonics and develop their reading and writing skills in a fun and engaging way.
Aims
- Introduce students to the English alphabet and its sounds.
- Help students recognize and differentiate between different sounds and letters in words.
- Develop students' decoding skills to read and spell short and simple words.
- Encourage students to use phonics to read and write words and simple sentences.

Lesson Plan
Module 1: Introduction to Phonics (Lessons 1-5)
- Introduction to the English alphabet and its 26 letters.
- Teaching the individual sounds of each letter.
- Introducing the concept of consonants and vowels.
- Teaching students to blend sounds to make words.
- Instruction on how to use consonant sounds and vowels to build complete words.
Module 2: Learning Short Vowel Sounds (Lessons 6-10)
- Introducing short vowel sounds.
- Showing how short vowel sounds are different from long vowel sounds.
- Teaching students how to blend short vowel sounds with consonants to read simple words.
- Activities to help students recognize and distinguish between short vowel sounds.
Module 3: Learning to Spell Simple Words (Lessons 11-15)
