Today, we will set off on an exciting adventure to explore the amazing wonders of science! We’ll discover the world around us through our senses and engage in fun activities that make learning science super enjoyable!
Before we begin, let's gather our explorer tools! Each student will need:
Gather the children in a circle and explain that we are going to go on a nature hunt around the playground or garden. Ask them what they think we might find. Encourage them to think about different kinds of plants, insects, and rocks!
After the hunt, we'll all come back together to share what we found. Begin by asking:
Guide the conversation by explaining that science is all about asking questions and discovering answers about our surroundings!
Once everyone has shared their findings, hand out the nature journals for them to draw at least one of the things they discovered. Encourage them to label their pictures with words or simple phrases.
To end our lesson, let’s sit in a circle again and each share one interesting thing we learned today. Science is all around us, and we can be scientists every day by observing, asking questions, and exploring!
Before heading out, remind everyone to be careful while exploring and to respect nature by not picking flowers or disturbing animals.
Let’s go on our adventure and have fun learning about the amazing world of science! 🌏🔍✨
