Once upon a time in a sunny garden, Benny the Beetle decided to throw a parade for all of his bug friends. He invited:

• 3 cheerful ladybugs,
• 4 silly grasshoppers,
• and 2 buzzing bees.

Can you help Benny count how many bugs are in the parade?

Counting Activity

1. Visualize the Bugs:
   Let’s draw or use bug cutouts! Create 3 ladybugs, 4 grasshoppers, and 2 bees on a large piece of paper or on your whiteboard.

2. Count Together:

   • Count the ladybugs: 1, 2, 3!
   • Count the grasshoppers: 1, 2, 3, 4!
   • Count the bees: 1, 2!

3. Total Bug Count:
   Now, let's add them together!
   3 ladybugs + 4 grasshoppers + 2 bees = 🌟 9 bugs in total! 🌟
