Once we’ve identified the item:

• Let’s talk! How do you think this item connects to where we live?
• Questions to consider:

  • Have you ever seen it in a park or on the way to school?

Map It Out!

Ready to Create!

Now that we’ve warmed up our brains, it’s time to grab our maps! Each of you will get a simple map of our local area to colour in.

• Colour in places you know (like your house, school, or the park).
• You can even draw your own pictures of things you see in your neighbourhood!

Wrap-Up

Once we're done, we will gather and share our maps! Everyone will take turns to say one thing they love about our local area. I can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful things you appreciate in your community!
