Gather the Kids: Gather your students in a circle and explain that today they will become shape detectives!
Show the Shapes: Introduce the different shapes using colorful cutouts. Hold up each shape, name it, and ask the children to repeat after you. For example:
Set the Stage: Tell the children that you have hidden shape cutouts around the classroom. Explain that their mission is to find and collect as many shapes as they can!
Shape Hunt: Allow the kids to explore the classroom, searching high and low for shapes. When they find a shape, they can bring it back to the circle and tell everyone what shape they found.
