Imagine you are a brave explorer on a quest to find a hidden treasure. But there's a catch! To uncover the location of this treasure, you need to solve riddles and decode fractions scattered throughout a mystical land.
As you enter the enchanted forest of Fractionwood, you stumble upon a treasure map. The map is divided into pieces, each representing a fraction of the whole. To advance in your quest, you must complete a series of challenges related to fractions.
To cross the Fraction Bridge, you must solve the first puzzle:
"What fraction of the bridge is painted red? There are 4 sections, and 2 of them are red."
Write down your answer and think about what this means in terms of the whole bridge.
Once you've crossed the bridge, you're closer to the treasure! Throughout the lesson, we will decode more puzzles, share our answers, and eventually reach our goal.
Get ready for an exciting journey filled with numbers, shapes, and of course, fractions!
Gather your notebooks and pencils, and let’s dive into the first activity that will help you understand how to identify and represent fractions!
