Welcome, young explorers! Today, we’re going to embark on a special adventure through time. Put on your imaginary time travel hats because we’re about to discover the magical world of time!
Imagine we have a time machine that can take us to any point in time.
Before we travel, let’s create our very own time machines! Here’s what you need to do:
Grab a piece of paper and draw a picture of your time machine. It can look like anything you want—a rocket, a car, or even a magical door!
Label your time machine with “Time Machine” on top.
Feel free to add decorations like stars, clocks, or whatever you think makes it special.
Now that we’ve created our time machines, let’s learn how to tell time! Time is like a path that helps us understand when things happen in our adventure.
Clock Basics: A clock has hour hands and minute hands. The hour hand is shorter, and the minute hand is longer.
Reading the Clock: Let’s practice telling time! When the hour hand points to 3 and the minute hand points to 12, what time is it? (That’s right, 3:00!)
To practice telling time together:
Stand up in a circle.
Pass an imaginary clock from one friend to another.
When you receive the clock, say a time like “2:00” or “11:30.”
Keep passing until everyone has had a turn.
As we get ready to end our time travel adventure, remember that learning about time is like having a treasure map. It helps us understand when special things happen in our lives!
For fun, I want you to practice telling time at home. Ask a family member to help you find the clock and say what time it is throughout the day. Let’s meet tomorrow to share our time-telling stories!
Thank you for being amazing time travelers today! Get ready for our next adventure! ⏰✨
