G'day, littlies! Today, we're going to embark on a colourful journey through the world of shapes. We’ll discover the wonderful shapes around us and even make some shape buddies along the way! Are you ready? Let’s get started!
To kick-off our lesson, we’ll have a Shape Hunt!
Get Moving: Everyone stand up and look around! Can you find something in the room that is a circle? What about a square or a triangle?
Shape Finder: Once you spot a shape, raise your hand and tell us what shape you've found. For example, "I see a circle on the clock!"
Treasure Box Demo: I’ll be passing around a Treasure Box filled with various shapes (e.g. triangles made of foam, round balls, etc.). You will each get a chance to pull out a shape and share what it is with your friends.
After our Shape Hunt, it’s craft time! We will use different coloured paper to make our very own shape collages. Here’s how we’ll do it:

Once everyone's art is complete, we’ll sit in a circle and share our fantastic shape creations. Let’s see how each of you made your collage and what shapes you chose!
