1. Wiggle and Move!

To start our lesson, let's stand up and have a little fun!

Activity:

• Wiggly Lines: Stretch your arms out wide and make big, wiggly movements, just like a squiggly line. Move around the room as if you are drawing with invisible pencil!
• Straight Lines: Now, let’s straighten up! Stand tall and still like a straight line. How long can you hold it?

2. Story Time: The Magic Line

Now that we've warmed up our bodies, gather around for a little story.

Once upon a time, in a world full of colours, there lived a magical line named Lola. Lola loved to dance across the page, creating all sorts of things. Sometimes, she was a tall tree, other times, she became a rollercoaster! One day, she met Sammy the Squiggly Line, who loved to twist and turn. Together, they made beautiful pictures that made everyone smile.

Discussion:

• After the story, ask the children: What do you think Lola and Sammy made together? How do you think lines can help us create new things?

3. Line Art Challenge

Now it’s your turn to become artists! Grab your crayons and paper.

Instructions:

• Draw Lola: Start by drawing a straight line for Lola.
