Good morning Class 1! Today, we are going to embark on an exciting adventure into the magical world of Place Value! Are you ready? Let's get started with our adventure!
Imagine you are all treasure hunters! Your task is to find the hidden treasure in the Land of Numbers. The treasure is hidden in three magical caves: Tens, Units, and Hundreds. Each cave holds special secrets about how numbers are made!
In the Cave of Units, you will find single items like one shiny gem or one sparkling coin. Each gem represents the number "1".
In the Cave of Tens, there are groups of ten gems tied up with a ribbon! If you have one group of ten, that’s like the number "10". Can you see how these groups make larger numbers?
Finally, in the Cave of Hundreds, there are bundles of ten-tens each tied together, making a big treasure of "100".
Build Your Number Treasure: We'll create our own numbers using gems, groups, and bundles!
Order and Compare: Once we have our treasure numbers, we will sort and compare them to see which is the biggest and which is the smallest!
Treasure Hunt Game: Finally, we will play a fun game where we will solve place value riddles to find more treasures hidden around the classroom.
Gather all your materials, and let's step into our Place Value adventure together! Remember, treasure hunters collaborate, so help each other out and have fun along the way!
Are you excited? I know I am! Let the hunt for numbers and treasure begin! 🏴☠️✨
