Introduction (2 minutes): Explain that inside the Magic Number Box are various math problems that need solving. Each student will get to take one out!
Group Brainstorm (3 minutes): Discuss with the class what "mixed mental maths" means. Ask them if they know different ways to add, subtract, multiply, or divide without using tools. Encourage them to share their ideas.
