Procedure
- Introduction (5 minutes)
- Greet the students and ask if they know what weight means
- Give a brief explanation of weight and compare it to size and height
- Weight Sorting Activity (10 minutes)
- Provide the students with various objects of different weights
- Ask them to sort the objects into two categories: heavy and light
- Balancing Act (15 minutes)
- Display the balances/scales and explain how they are used to measure weight
- Demonstrate how to use the balance/scale to find the weight of an object
- Provide the students with objects to weigh and record their findings on chart paper
- Weight Comparisons (10 minutes)
- Give each student two objects of different weights
- Ask them to compare the weight of the objects and record which object is heavier and which object is lighter
- Conclusion (5 minutes)
- Recap the concept of weight and review the differences between heavy and light objects
- Encourage the students to practice measuring weight at home using different tools

Enrichment Activity
Provide the students with a mystery weight box filled with various objects. Ask them to guess the weight of each object and then use the balance/scale to find the actual weight.
