• Crayons or markers

Instructions

1. Introduction to Shapes: Let's start with a fun discussion about shapes. What shapes do you see around you? Can anyone tell me what a circle, square, triangle, and rectangle look like?

   Tip: Use real-life examples. A pizza is a circle, a window is usually a rectangle, a slice of cheese can be a triangle, and a book is a square!

2. Shape Hunt: Now it’s time for our Shape Hunt! You will go on a mini-adventure around the classroom or outside. Your mission is to find and identify at least five shapes from the Shape Hunt Checklist.

   The checklist includes:

   • Circle
   • Square
   • Triangle
   • Rectangle

3. Fill out the Checklist: As you find each shape, write down where you found it! For example:

   • Circle: Found on a clock
   • Square: Found on my notebook
   • Triangle: Found on the roof of the playhouse

4. Share Your Findings: Once you return to the classroom, we will gather in a circle to share what we found! Each of you will get a chance to describe one shape you discovered and where you saw it.
