Starting a Fun Lesson on Nursery Rhymes!

Introduction: Welcome to the World of Rhymes!

Hello, everyone! Today we're going to embark on a magical journey filled with playful words and catchy tunes. Who’s ready? Raise your hand if you love stories that make you smile!

Warm-Up Activity: Rhyme Bingo

Before we dive into our nursery rhymes, let’s play a quick game of Rhyme Bingo! Here’s how it works:

  1. Bingo Cards: Each child will receive a Bingo card filled with images that represent popular nursery rhyme characters, such as Humpty Dumpty, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Baa Baa Black Sheep.

  2. Read-Aloud Fun: I will read some lines from our favourite nursery rhymes. When you hear a rhyme, look at your Bingo card and see if you can find the character!

  3. Call Out: If you find the character, shout "Bingo!" and let us know which rhyme you heard!

Transition into the Lesson

Once we finish our game, I'll explain how nursery rhymes have been shared for generations, helping children learn about rhythm, rhyme, and storytelling.

As we listen to some delightful rhymes together, we’ll clap our hands, move our feet, and even create some silly gestures to help remember the words!

Invitation

Are you ready to giggle and sing along? Let’s hop right into our adventure with nursery rhymes that will tickle your imagination and help us learn!

Let’s start with our first rhyme: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star! Put on your listening ears and let’s have some fun! 🌟

Now you're all set to jump into an exciting lesson that will engage your students' creativity while introducing them to the joy of nursery rhymes!
