Preparation: Before class, place a variety of envelopes around the classroom. Each envelope should contain a different mathematical puzzle or riddle. For example:
Group Up: Divide the class into small groups of 4-5 students. Each group will have 10 minutes to hunt for as many envelopes as they can find!
Solve Together: Once they have collected their envelopes, groups will work together to solve the problems inside. Encourage them to discuss different strategies and share ideas.
The group that solves the most problems correctly will receive Math Master stickers and the honour of being our “Math Sages” for the day!
