To kick off our year, we are going to go on a Math Treasure Hunt right in our classroom! Here’s how it will work:
I've prepared a series of Math Clue Cards that you will find hidden around the classroom. Each card has a fun math question or problem on it related to what you'll be learning this year, such as:
You will work in small groups of 3-4. Teamwork is essential in math, and together you'll solve the clues you find. When your group finds a clue, work together to solve the problem and write down your answers!
For every clue you solve, you’ll earn a Treasure Token. After you’ve discovered all the hidden clues and collected your tokens, you and your group will have a chance to trade them in for some special prizes! 🎁
At the end of our treasure hunt, we will gather as a class and share what we discovered. Each group will explain one problem they solved and how they got to the answer. This will not only help us learn from each other but also celebrate our teamwork!
