Explanation of Common and Proper Nouns
- Common Nouns: General names for a person, place, or thing (e.g., city, dog).
- Proper Nouns: Specific names and always capitalised (e.g., Sydney, Buddy).
Activity: Identification Exercise
- Display flashcards with different nouns on the projector or whiteboard.
- Ask students to identify whether each noun is a common or proper noun and explain why.
- Engage the class by asking for examples of each type of noun.
3. Practise Using Nouns (15 minutes)
