Today, we’re going to embark on a fantastic adventure in the land of numbers! Are you ready to explore? Let’s begin with a little story that will take us on our journey.
Once upon a time, in a place called Numberland, there was a magical treasure chest filled with shiny gold coins. However, the treasure chest was locked with a special key that had numbers on it! To open the chest and discover the treasure inside, we must help our friend, Tilly the Turtle, find the right numbers.
Count and identify numbers to help Tilly unlock the treasure chest.
Gather Around: Sit in a circle and listen as I tell you more about Tilly. Let’s all imagine how excited Tilly is to find the treasure!
Treasure Map: I’ll hold up a large treasure map (you can create this with drawings of the numbers and different landmarks).
Counting Adventure:
Interactive Counting: As we collect items, we’ll count them together out loud. Let’s cheer for Tilly every time we find a new number!
Once we’ve gathered all the items and counted them, we’ll work together to match them to the numbers on the treasure chest. When we find the correct numbers, Tilly will unlock the chest, and we will discover our very own treasure – a special stickers or stamps EVERYONE gets to take home!
