By the end of this lesson, you'll not only know how to make a simple sandwich but will also understand the basic principles of combining ingredients to create something tasty and nutritious!
Think Like a Chef: Close your eyes and imagine you're a chef in a famous restaurant. You have to create a new sandwich that nobody has ever tasted before!
Name Your Sandwich: What will you call your unique creation? Write down a catchy name that reflects the flavors and ingredients you've chosen.
Ingredient List: List at least 5 ingredients you would use. Think about different types of bread, meats, vegetables, spreads, and even cheeses!
Flavor Combinations: Write a few sentences explaining why you chose these ingredients. How do they complement each other? Are there any flavors that might surprise us?
Sketch It Out: Use your paper to draw your sandwich! Make it as colorful and appetizing as possible.
Once you’ve completed your creations, we’ll have a mini showcase! Each of you will get 1 minute to present your sandwich idea to the class. Be sure to explain your ingredient choices and why your sandwich is the best!
After the presentations, we’ll transition into our hands-on activity, where you will get the chance to make your very own sandwich using some of the ingredients you just brainstormed! Let’s get creative and start cooking!
