To kick off our lesson, I have a fun activity for you!

Mystery Map Creation:
- I will hand each of you a blank piece of paper.
- Using your crayons and markers, you will draw a map of a special place that you know well—this can be your bedroom, your backyard, or even your favorite park!
- Once you’ve finished your map, we’ll hang them up on our “World Wall” and take a mini-tour of each other’s special places.

Share and Connect

After we’ve created and displayed our maps, we’ll gather in a circle to share what we drew. Let's talk about:

What makes your special place unique?
Do other people visit it? If so, who?
What can we find there?

This activity will help us understand that geography is not just about countries and oceans; it’s also about the spaces we live in and the stories they tell!
