- Give examples of common information reports, such as reports about animals, places, or events.
Direct Instruction (10 minutes)
Key Features of an Information Report
- Title: Clear and informative.
- Introduction: Introduces the topic.
- Body: Facts and information divided into sections.
- Conclusion: Summarises the information.
Example Discussion
Use a picture book or image of a specific animal:
- Ask students what they know about the animal.
- Discuss the facts that might go into an information report, such as habitat, diet, and interesting features.

Guided Practice (10 minutes)
