Hello, little explorers! Today, we are going to embark on a magical adventure into the forest! Are you ready to discover the wonders that await us?
Start by gathering the children in a circle. Dim the lights slightly and play soft sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves to set the mood.
Begin with a captivating story about a friendly bear named Benny who lives in the forest.
"Once upon a time, in a beautiful green forest, there lived a bear named Benny. Benny loved to explore and make new friends. He discovered a colorful butterfly named Bella and a wise old owl named Oliver. Together, they went on exciting adventures, singing songs and playing games!"
As you tell the story, use animated gestures and facial expressions to engage the children. Ask them questions like, “What do you think Benny will find next?” or “Can you flap your arms like a butterfly?” to encourage participation.
Craft a little Forest!
After the story, invite the children to use colored paper, crayons, and markers to create their very own forest scene. They can draw animals, trees, flowers, and anything else they imagine.
As the children work on their artwork, walk around and engage in conversations about what they love about animals and nature. Ask guiding questions such as, “What’s your favorite animal?” and “What sounds do they make?”
Share Your Creations!
Conclude the lesson by having each child share their forest creation with the class. Encourage them to describe their favorite part of Benny's adventure and what animal they’d love to meet in the forest.
Thank the little explorers for their creativity and remind them that every adventure begins with a story. “Remember, just like Benny, you can discover magic all around you every day!”
By creating a joyful and engaging environment, you not only introduce a lesson but also foster a love for learning and storytelling among preschoolers. Happy exploring! 🌳🦋🐻
