Setting the Scene:

Imagine you are brave explorers. Before we dive into our reading adventure, let’s prepare our Reading Superhero Toolkit! In this toolkit, we have special powers that will help us understand everything we read.

Activity: The Magical Toolkit

1. Super Glasses:

   • What they do: Help us see important details in the text.
   • How to make them: Let’s pretend to put on our imaginary super glasses! Now we’re ready to spot key details as we read!

2. Listening Ears:

   • What they do: Help us hear the story and remember the big ideas.
   • How to activate: Cup your hands behind your ears and wiggle them! This will help us listen closely to the story today.

3. Question Mark Capes:

   • What they do: Remind us to ask questions when we read.
   • How to wear it: Wrap an imaginary cape around your shoulders and pretend it has big question marks all over it!

The Setup:

Now that we have our Reading Superhero Toolkit ready, let’s gather around for our story! Today, we will read "The Missing Treasure". But wait, there’s a twist! Throughout the story, I want you to look out for clues and think about the questions you might ask.

Transition into Reading:
