Opening Activity: Fraction Pizza Party!

Materials Needed

Step 1: Build Your Pizza

  1. Get Your Plate: Each of you will receive a paper plate. This represents your pizza!
  2. Draw Your Toppings: Using the markers or crayons, add your favourite pizza toppings on one side of the plate. This could be pepperoni, mushrooms, cheese, or even pineapple!
  3. Cut Your Pizza: Once you're done decorating, carefully cut your pizza into equal slices. You can choose to make it into quarters (4 slices), thirds (3 slices), or eighths (8 slices).
