Welcome, little artists! Today, we are going to have fun exploring the world of art. Are you ready to create something beautiful? Let's get started!
By the end of today's lesson, you will:
Let's start by warming up our creativity muscles! Everyone, please stand up and start moving your arms in different directions. Pretend like you are painting in the air. What color is your brush? Yellow? Great! Now let's switch to red. Keep moving while we start our lesson.
Do you know what texture means? Texture is how something feels when you touch it. Can you feel your clothes? Some fabrics are soft, while others are rough. Can you spot something in this room that has a bumpy texture? That's right, the carpet!
Now, let's get hands-on with some different textures. Here are some materials we will use:
Pick one of these materials and explore what it feels like. Close your eyes and really use your sense of touch to feel every inch of it. How does it feel? Soft? Scratchy? Sticky?
Now it's time to put your imagination to work. You can use any of the materials we just explored, along with some paint and paper, to create your own masterpiece. Remember, there's no right or wrong way to make art. Just have fun and be creative!
Great job, artists! We learned about colors, textures, and created something beautiful together. Keep exploring the world of art and use your imagination to make new things every day.
