Good morning, little explorers! Today, we are going to start a fantastic adventure together as we begin our school year! Are you ready to discover all the fun things we will learn and do this year? Let’s sprinkle a little magic in our classroom and make new friends!
Gather Around: Have the students sit in a circle on the carpet. Show them the Magic School Box and explain that it holds special items that will help us on our school adventures.
Unveiling the Magic: One by one, take out an item from the box and ask the children what they think it is or what it might do in our classroom. For example:
Sharing Dreams: After revealing all the items, ask each child to share their dreams for the school year. What do they want to learn? What games do they want to play?
Draw Your Adventure: Hand out a drawing sheet and crayons. Encourage the children to draw a picture of what they are most excited about for school. They can draw friends, favorite activities, or a magical place they hope to visit in their imagination.
Once everyone has finished their drawings, gather the kids in a circle again. Allow each student to share their artwork and describe what they drew. This will help everyone feel connected and excited about the year ahead!
