Year/Grade 1
Reading
20
30 minutes
This lesson aligns with the national curriculum by incorporating foundational literacy skills, encouraging critical thinking, and promoting comprehension and analytical skills in young readers.
Students will be asked to read a short story or an informational text at home. They will complete a worksheet that asks them to identify whether the text was fiction or non-fiction and to list one fact or detail from the text. The worksheets will be collected at the beginning of the next class for assessment without formal presentations.
