Introduction (5 minutes)

  1. Engage the Students

    Explain that humans go through different stages in their lives, and today, they will learn about the human life cycle. Write "Human Life Cycle" on the whiteboard.


Direct Instruction (10 minutes)

  1. Life Cycle Stages
    Explain the five main stages of the human life cycle:

    • Infancy: This stage begins at birth and lasts until about 2 years old. Talk about how babies grow and learn to crawl and talk.

    • Childhood: From ages 2 to around 12 years. Discuss how children play, go to school, and make friends.

    • Teenage Years: From around 13 to 19 years. Explain how teenagers start to gain more independence and experience changes in their bodies.

    • Adulthood: Ages 20 and up. Discuss responsibilities such as jobs, families, and making choices.

    • Elderly: Older adults who often have wisdom and experience. Talk about what they may do differently at this stage.

  2. Discussion
    Ask students to share some activities they enjoy at their current age and what they might want to do as they grow.


Group Activity (10 minutes)

  1. Create a Life Cycle Chart
    Divide the class into small groups. Provide each group with chart paper and coloring materials.

    • Each group will create a poster of the human life cycle, including drawings or pictures representing each stage.
  2. Presentation
    Ask each group to present their chart to the class, explaining what they included for each stage.
