As an early years teacher, my journey has been both fulfilling and transformative. Engaging with young children, nurturing their growth, and witnessing their developmental milestones is incredibly rewarding. However, as I reflect on my experiences and aspirations, I realize that my professional development is an ongoing process. In this discussion, I will address what is next for me, highlight my current areas of expertise, and identify two potential specialisms I wish to pursue further.
Moving forward, my primary goal is to deepen my understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education. I plan to pursue further professional development opportunities that will enhance my teaching skills and expand my knowledge base. This includes attending workshops, enrolling in specialized courses, and collaborating with peers in the field. Additionally, I am interested in integrating technology into the classroom more effectively, as I believe that digital literacy is becoming increasingly essential for young learners in today’s world.
