Activity: My Art Folder

Objective

By the end of this activity, you will create your very own art folder to keep all your wonderful artworks safe throughout the year! This will be a space where your creativity shines.

Materials Needed

• A brown paper folder (one for each student)
• Colorful markers or crayons
• Stickers or stamps (optional)
• Glitter glue (optional)
• A small piece of plain paper for a self-portrait

Steps

1. Decorate Your Folder

   • Grab your brown paper folder and use the markers or crayons to decorate the front. You can draw your favorite things like animals, stars, or flowers!
   • Don’t forget to add your name. This is your folder, and it will hold all your masterpieces!

2. Add Your Self-Portrait

   • On the small piece of plain paper, draw a picture of yourself. What do you look like? What clothes are you wearing?
   • You can use the glitter glue to make it extra special! When you're done, tape or glue your self-portrait to the inside flap of your folder.

3. Personal Touches

   • If you have stickers or stamps, add them to your folder! This will make it unique, just like you!

Share Your Creation

Once everyone has finished decorating their folders, we’ll have a little show-and-tell. You’ll each get a chance to share what you created and tell us a little about your self-portrait.
