Before we start counting, let’s imagine that you are in a magical forest filled with all kinds of fruits. Picture bananas, apples, and juicy strawberries! As we help Benny, we will learn how to add numbers together, just like he adds fruits to his basket.
To make our adventure even more fun, we’re going to use some colorful counting blocks! Each block represents one piece of fruit. If you don’t have blocks, you can use your fingers or even draw pictures of fruits!

Step 2: Now, Benny finds 3 yellow bananas! Can you show me 3 more blocks or hold up 3 fingers?
Step 3: Now, let’s see how many fruits Benny has altogether! To find out, we count all the blocks (fruits) together.
